Van Alstyne ISD is proud to partner with Children’s Health℠ to provide convenient access to expert behavioral health care, virtually. Many students struggle with stress, anxiety, depression and other emotions. If you’ve noticed your child or teenager being impacted, they may feel more comfortable talking to a therapist or counselor virtually. With your permission, your child can receive up to four virtual therapy sessions with licensed behavioral health providers from school or home using a mobile device. You can join their session from work or home, too. It’s a convenient option for expert behavioral health care.
In addition to therapy sessions, Children’s Health can also provide community resources, psychoeducation, and a virtual consultation with a licensed psychiatrist when clinically necessary.
TeleBehavioral services at VAISD are provided at no cost through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine, or TCHATT, program. Health care resources are also available for the entire family through Virtual Visit by Children’s Health Virtual Care.
Talk to your school counselor, for more details.
TCHATT is funded and administered by the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium.
If this is outside of school hours and there is an immediate threat of harm, call 911. If there is a crisis during school hours, contact the school counselor or administrator immediately. TCHATT is NOT for Crisis situations.
