Four VAHS Students Participate in Rep. Ratcliffe’s Congressional Student Leadership Program
State Representative John Ratcliffe started a program to allow high school students from the 4th District of Texas to gain a better understanding of the political realm. A total of 86 students from different counties in the 4th District were chosen to participate. The 4th District of Texas encompasses the area north of DFW, including rural parts of Collin County, up along the Red River, and east to the Arkansas border. Representative Ratcliffe has an office in Sherman, along with one in Rockwall and one in Texarkana where the meetings are held in person and via video chat. Twenty two students from Grayson County and four from Van Alstyne High School were selected.
