Van Alstyne ISD is committed to maintaining a high-quality library collection that supports student learning, reflects the values of our community, and aligns with the district’s academic goals.
All library materials are thoughtfully selected and regularly reviewed to ensure they are age-appropriate, educationally relevant, and enriching for students. We fully comply with all applicable state laws — including Senate Bill 13 — and go beyond basic compliance by fostering transparency and meaningful collaboration with families.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to stay informed and involved in their child’s library experience. Together, we aim to support a lifelong love of reading while upholding academic excellence and community standards.
In keeping with our commitment to transparency, Van Alstyne ISD maintains a list of library titles that are currently under formal review. This review process may be initiated by educators, parents, or community members and follows district policy and state guidelines.
