Getting Started & Creating an Account

 
To get started using the Edlio app, watch the video above, or follow these steps:
  1. In the App Store or Google Play Store, search for Edlio. You'll recognize the app by the red background and stylized "e" logo
  2. Click Install
  3. When the app opens for the first time, it will ask you to select your Location Settings preference. For this initial setup, allow the app to use your location. It will use your location to find any nearby Edlio schools. As long as you are physically in Van Alstyne, it should find each of our campuses and the district app as well.
  4. During this initial setup, choose "Van Alstyne Independent School District". You'll be able to choose individual schools later
  5.  The next step will be notification settings. We suggest you allow notifications so you will know if you receive a message through the app. In a future help document, we will go over how to customize your push notifications once you are in the app.
  6. Next, the app will ask you to choose which schools you want to follow. As a parent, this is your opportunity to choose the specific schools your students attend and as an employee, this is your opportunity to choose the campus where you work.
  7. Next is the login screen. As long as you have a VAISD Skyward account, you already have an email address associated with the Edlio app. 
  8. During this initial setup, you will need to setup a new password. Your password is NOT the same password you use for Skyward. Only your email address is imported.
  9. During this initial setup, click "Forgot Password" instead of clicking Login.
  10. You'll be asked to enter your email. Enter the same email address you use for Skyward.
  11. You should then receive an email from [email protected]. This may appear in your inbox as simply "Edlio". The subject line will read "Van Alstyne Independent School District App Registration" (NOTE: If you selected a campus during setup, the email may read "[CAMPUS NAME] App Registration"
  12. Follow the steps in the email to reset your password.
  13. Open the app back up on your phone and input your email and password.
  14. Congratulations! You now have your Edlio Account on your phone!
