Dr. Brown will begin in this new role on June 1.  This comes after current Superintendent Dr. John Spies announced his retirement at the December 2016 School Board meeting.  In January, after an extensive search, Dr. Brown was named the Lone Finalist.  By state law, the hiring process isn’t final until trustees vote following a 21 day waiting period.  The wait was over and the trustees finalized the vote confirming Dr. Brown as the next Superintendent at their February board meeting.
