Just three years after graduating from Van Alstyne High School, Claire Gallagher has already helped produce content on one of sports’ biggest stages.

Gallagher’s interest in video began long before graduation, but VATV gave her opportunities to produce documentaries, create student features and cover Panther athletics. Her work earned state recognition and helped provide the foundation for the career she is building today.

Since leaving VAHS, Gallagher has filmed Longhorn football, interviewed Conor McGregor on the red carpet, worked with UFC in Las Vegas and joined NBC Sports. Earlier this year, she was promoted from production assistant to producer during the network’s coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

In the latest installment of the VAISD Alumni Spotlight, Gallagher reflects on her time in Van Alstyne, the experiences that prepared her for a career behind the camera and the lessons she continues to carry with her.
