Van Alstyne Independent School District will officially celebrate the opening of Charles and Beth Williams Elementary School with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, August 17, at 5:00 p.m.
The event will take place at Charles and Beth Williams Elementary School, 2134 Cuellar Way, Van Alstyne, Texas 75495, located within the growing Mantua community.
Williams Elementary is the district's third elementary campus and represents another significant milestone as Van Alstyne ISD continues to serve our rapidly growing community. The new campus was constructed to provide additional capacity while maintaining the high-quality educational experience that families have come to expect from Van Alstyne ISD.
District leaders, members of the Board of Trustees, local officials and staff will be on hand to commemorate the opening of the new campus with a ceremonial ribbon cutting. Following the ceremony, Williams will host its first Meet the Teacher night.
"Williams Elementary stands as more than a new school—it is a tribute to the legacy of Charlie and Beth Williams, whose decades of dedicated service helped shape generations of Van Alstyne students and families," said Dr. David Brown, Superintendent of Van Alstyne ISD. "As we open the doors to this beautiful campus, we also honor the values they exemplified: a commitment to children, excellence in education and a deep love for this community."
Principal Holly Haynes said the opening of the campus is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Van Alstyne community.
"Opening the doors of Charles and Beth Williams Elementary marks the beginning of something truly special," Mrs. Haynes said. "We are honored to welcome our students, families and community into a campus where kids come first and where we work to grow our students' love of learning the Williams Way every day!"
The opening of Williams Elementary further strengthens the district's ability to serve its expanding student population while preserving the supportive, student-centered culture that defines Van Alstyne ISD.
Community members, students and families are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony and help celebrate the future of Van Alstyne ISD.
