Today for Red Ribbon Week, VAHS held a Grim Reaper activity to show to effects that drugs and alcohol can have on peoples lives. 14 students were chosen to represent different scenarios that could happen due to a drug or alcohol overdoses. They were taken by the Grim Reaper throughout the day and remained silent the rest of the day to signify a death.
This afternoon, the student body gathered outside for an assembly to review the day’s events.
VAHS Counselor, Ms. Weaver reminded students to value their lives. Tomorrow, students will be able to sign commitment cards to stay clean and drug free.
Superintendent, Dr. Brown closed by urging students to make good decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
We hope that this made an impact on all students and we look forward to seeing all of their bright futures!
