VAMS hosts UIL competition

Founded in the early 1900s at the University of Texas, UIL, the University Interscholastic League, was established to provide educational extracurricular activities in academics, athletics, and music.  It is now the largest inter-school organization in the world.

VAMS UIL coordinator, Amy Long, did a fantastic job organizing the event.  Students were set up in the cafeteria and gyms while they waited for their competitions to occur, and staff and volunteers served as judges, graders, timekeepers, and runners where needed.

Several VAMS students placed in their events and won awards which will be presented at the end of the year academic assembly.
