Panther Nation: 

I hope everyone had a wonderful summer with friends and family. Van Alstyne ISD is looking forward to welcoming students and families both returning and new. This is going to be a great year for all of us. As all of us know, the City of VA and the surrounding area is growing and we are working diligently to provide the best education for our families. 

Please provide us grace this year as we continue to add staff to accommodate the growth. There is a high probability that class schedules may have changed since “Meet the Teacher” and may continue to do so throughout the year as we welcome new students. We are continually looking at our numbers and adding staff to keep our class sizes as small as feasible. We know this provides some difficulty to our students especially at the elementary levels. However, we also understand that having too large of classes makes it difficult to provide engaging lessons for our kids. Just this week we had to add several more teachers to accommodate new students. The great thing about Van Alstyne is that we all work together to make this a great place to live, learn, and grow together. I look forward to seeing you at all the events this fall….Go Panthers!
